Kayla Reid, LCSW

Kayla Reid, LCSW attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and then completed her a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Central Connecticut State University followed by a Master’s in Social Work at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service. Kayla has 10 years of experience providing psychotherapy for children, adolescents, families and young adults. She worked at the Yale Child Study Center providing in-home Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT). She also worked at Yale New Haven Health in the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program, providing group, individual, and family therapy. She then worked at the Clifford Beers Clinic conducting risk assessments for children and adolescents as well as short-term crisis stabilization. In addition, she worked for Yale University providing psychotherapy to undergraduate students. She then worked at Whitefoord Health Center in Atlanta, conducting psychosocial assessments and providing individual therapy for children and adults. Kayla’s clinical expertise includes crisis management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, anxiety and depression management, group therapy and integrative approaches to support overall health and wellness. Kayla is passionate about working with diverse populations and specializes in culturally appropriate and evidence-based practice strategies to effectively engage with individuals at their respective stages of identity development, life circumstances, or cultural, economic and religious backgrounds. Kayla is dedicated to providing a safe, non-judgmental, therapeutic space for all individuals and looks forward to working with new clients to cultivate growth, wellness and healing.
