Javon Williams, Ph.D.

Dr. Williams has a Ph.D. in Counseling Studies, and she is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has served in the field of psychology and mental health for 17 years. She has worked with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, addictive disease, minority concerns, gender identity, sexual trauma, grief/loss, PTSD, and academic/career/social stressors. She also has experience with military/veteran populations, foster care/adoption families/individuals, juvenile justice families/individuals, college students, survivors of domestic violence, survivors of childhood/adult sexual abuse, and professionals throughout the lifespan.
Dr. Williams believes that each client is capable of change (mental and behavioral), given support and resources. Her therapy approaches include Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment, and Person Centered. She believes that the needs of each client are unique and deserve individualized attention. She is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment to aid clients with processing feelings and distressing thoughts.
