Kimmi Jinks, Intern

Kimmi Jinks is a graduate student in Liberty University’s Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, developing clinical competencies in trauma-informed care, family systems, cognitive-behavioral approaches, and solution-focused interventions. Ms. Jinks provides support to students at Liberty University, assisting with academic and financial concerns while applying empathic listening, problem-solving, and confidential case management. She also has extensive experience in community outreach, youth development, and trauma-sensitive support. She served with AmeriCorps, mentoring at-risk middle school students in underserved communities, and contributed to trauma-informed initiatives with City of Refuge, supporting pregnant teens and young mothers, as well as Out of Darkness, meeting regularly with incarcerated women seeking recovery and restoration.


Ms. Jinks’s counseling approach is strengths-based, focusing on empowering clients by building on their existing resources, resilience, and skills. She is a certified SYMBIS Facilitator, providing research-based premarital and marriage enrichment services. She is also an active member of the American Counseling Association, the Licensed Professional Counseling Association of Georgia, ASERVIC, and the Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society. She is dedicated to creating safe, compassionate, and empowering spaces where clients can pursue growth, resilience, and holistic well-being.
