Julie C. Medlin, Ph.D.
Dr. Medlin is the Director of Medlin Treatment Center. She is a licensed psychologist who has over 25 years of clinical experience in evaluating and treating children, adolescents, and adults. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Harvard University, and her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Florida. Dr. Medlin specializes in assessments and she conducts psychological, sexual trauma, psychosexual, and forensic evaluations. She has expertise in the field of sexual abuse and sexual deviancy. Dr. Medlin published Responsible Living, an 8-volume sex offender treatment manual, along with a CD-ROM entitled Breaking Through Denial.
Dr. Medlin has provided numerous trainings for mental health professionals, attorneys, judges, and correctional agencies. She has also testified as an expert in court over 200 times. Dr. Medlin is Past President of the Georgia Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. She also served on the Georgia Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Advisory Council and on the Georgia Sex Offender Registration Review Board. In addition, Dr. Medlin has appeared as an expert on national televisions programs for CNN and Discovery Health, as well as several nationally syndicated programs.
