Courtney Watson, LPC
Courtney Watson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida, and her Master of Education in Professional Counseling from The University of Georgia. Her passion includes working with children and adolescents (ages 3-12) from all walks of life, as well supporting parents in one-on-one parenting sessions. She takes an eclectic approach to therapy while also incorporating aspects of Person-Centered, Holistic, and Systemic Therapy.
With younger children, she uses a combination of behavioral, play and art therapy techniques. She has extensive experience with blending and merging families, high conflict divorce cases, and supporting children who have experienced trauma and abuse (physical, emotional, verbal, and/or sexual). She enjoys incorporating the whole family in the therapeutic process as well as collaborating with teachers to increase the client success beyond the therapy room. Her desire is to help her clients to identify, understand, and express their emotions in a healthy way.
